Volunteer Oportunities

"It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Current Opportunities

Gilda´s Greeters

Be the voice and face of Gilda´s Club Simcoe Muskoka as you welcome members and visitors through the Red Door, provide them information and/or answer phones.

Gilda´s Gardeners

The garden is a peaceful oasis to relax and enjoy the beauty around us. We need green thumbs to take care of our gardens and provide seasonal decorating services both inside and outside of the Clubhouse.

Clubhouse Events Volunteers

Support the Gilda´s Club Simcoe Muskoka staff by serving on an event committee or assisting at a special event. Our signature events include: Red Door Variety Show, Gilda´s Annual Lakeside Party, Red Door Golf Tournament and other incredible community events.

Clubhouse Caterers

Assist with the preparation of homemade goods for events held at the Clubhouse.

Administrative Volunteers

Assist the office with mailings, research and data entry.

Clubhouse Support

Help maintain and improve Gilda´s Clubhouse; assisting with basic maintenance including repairs and cleaning as needed. Help us keep our pantry and cabinets organized, our refrigerators clean and our break room stocked with all the needed supplies.

Drop-in and Volunteer

We understand it´s not always easy to have a set schedule. Our Drop-in Volunteers have the option to drop by at anytime and see what´s on our ´To Do List´ and help out when and where they can.

Community Relations Team

Join our team as we generate awareness by speaking to groups and getting involved at health fairs and community activities throughout our region.

Youth Volunteer Committee

Become a Gilda´s Club Simcoe Muskoka representative at your high school.  Work with other teens in the area to plan and execute an annual fundraising event in the community.

Professionals with Special Skills and Knowledge Team

Workshop Facilitator: Present/facilitate a lecture or workshop at the Clubhouse that covers a topic of interest by members effected by cancer. The lecture or workshop will provide members with the opportunity to acquire new skills, tools, information and techniques. Members will build mutual social and emotional support and strengthen the Clubhouse community.
