Host a Fundraiser to Support Gilda's Club

GCSM is proud to partner with community champions who host independent fundraising events in support of our mission. Our team provides resources and guidance, when possible, to help you plan with confidence, while event organizers maintain responsibility for managing and promoting their own event.

The Kempenfelt Rotary Club hosted 100 Holes of Golf, with proceeds benefiting GCSM. Meanwhile, the Raw and Reflective Calendar Committee created its seventh annual calendar featuring models who have experienced cancer, with all proceeds supporting GCSM. These examples highlight the many ways the community supports GCSM.

Tell Us About Your Event!

Thank you for your interest in fundraising for Gilda’s Club SM! We’d love to learn more about the fundraiser you want to host. Simply fill out the form and our Events, Volunteer & Outreach Manager, Roxanne, will be in touch shortly.

Your fundraiser can be as unique and creative as you are! Every event brings people together in the spirit of community and compassion. No idea is too big or too small, each one helps us keep the Red Door open and ensures that those impacted by cancer feel supported, understood, and never alone.

At Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka, we believe everyone can make a difference in their own way. Whether you’re hosting a bake sale, golf tournament, employee event, concert, or online campaign, your creativity and compassion help keep our Red Door open for those impacted by cancer. By organizing your own “Do-It-Yourself” (DIY) fundraising event, you’re supporting your community your way while making a meaningful and lasting impact. Together, we remind everyone that Community is Stronger Than Cancer.

General Guidelines
  • All events supporting Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka (GCSM) must align with our mission and reflect our welcoming, inclusive community. Before using our logo or name, please obtain written permission from GCSM. While our team is small, we are thrilled to support your efforts in meaningful ways.
  • Third-party fundraisers are responsible for all aspects of their event, including vendor agreements, contracts, insurance, and necessary permits. GCSM will not assume any legal or financial liability for third-party events. Additionally, GCSM, its Board Members, or staff reserve the right to withdraw support or involvement in any event at any time without liability for such cancellation.
  • Third-party events must be fully executed by the organizing party. While GCSM staff are available to provide guidance and resources during the planning process, we cannot guarantee promotion or take on planning responsibilities for third-party fundraisers due to limited resources. GCSM staff are not responsible for managing the event.
  • GCSM can issue tax receipts only for donations where no goods or services are exchanged. We cannot fund or reimburse event expenses. Some activities (raffles, 50/50s) require a permit. Visit agco.on.ca for details.
  • Third-party organizers are responsible for securing all necessary vendor agreements, contracts, insurance, and permits for their event. GCSM is happy to provide guidance when possible but cannot assume liability for independently organized fundraisers.
  • All materials must be approved by GCSM before release. Please use language such as “Proceeds to benefit Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka.” Our logo is a registered trademark and may not be altered or used without permission.
  • To make promoting your event easier, we provide a downloadable Social Media Toolkit with Canva templates, post captions, and branded graphics. These can help you share your story and attract more community engagement online
